Back End Developer |Digital UI Developer –Internship

Internship Details

We are looking for talented back-end development Interns to join our rapidly growing team.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will work cross functionally with the Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing & Sales teams. The Back End Developer |Digital UI Developer Intern responsibilities will change based on emerging needs for TouchLogic digital products & services.

This position is unpaid (TTC or Presto Monthly Pass provided) & suitable for new graduates looking to gain experience and build their resume. You can also work from home a couple of days in the week.  After successful completion of the 3-month internship, you may be considered for a full-time opportunity.


  • Design, develop and maintain in-house web application systems and databases
  • Write high quality codes that are well tested
  • Interface development for websites and applications
  • Involvement in technical planning and architectural decision-making
  • Create and maintain functional/technical specifications and design documents
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with UI scripting and validation
  • Testing & QA, including browser & device testing and performance optimization
  • Provide user support, testing and troubleshooting as needed
  • Back-end integration & work independently
  • Perform all assigned project tasks to execute Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Participate in coordination meetings as required and directed by the Team/Project Leader​


  • Experience with Interface development for websites and applications
  • UI scripting and validation, Back-end integration
  • Strong experience with object-oriented PHP development
  • Testing & QA, including browser & device testing and performance optimization
  • Basic experience with Linux/Unix command line
  • Relational database schema design and ability to write and tune SQL queries (MySQL)
  • Experience with MVC framework (MVC.NET, Angular, Typescript)
  • Self-motivated and capable of learning new technologies quickly


  • Degree or diploma in computer science, interactive media, or significant real-world experience
